Santa Ana, California- Mayra Gonzalez, a 32-year-old Santa Ana woman was jailed Thursday after she allegedly had sex with her daughter’s 16-year-old boyfriend, and had a son with him as a result.
According to Santa Ana police, Gonzalez reportedly had a secret sexual relationship with her daughter’s boyfriend that went on for five months last year.Gonzalez allegedly had sex with the teen on six occasions, one of which resulted in a pregnancy.
Investigators say the relationship came to light after Gonzalez’ neighbors learned of the relationship and informed the boy’s parents.During questioning, Gonzalez told detectives that she was in love with the boy, despite her knowledge of his age.
Gonzalez was booked into jail and charged with multiple counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and oral copulation with a minor. She is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday. If convicted, she could face up to 7 years and 8 months in prison.
