iPhone 4 Takes A Bullet For Its Owner. He’s Alive, Siri Is Dead!

I thought these kind of things only happened in movies…you know when one of the characters gets shot and a bible that he had in his pocket or a flask that got as a present, stops an otherwise lethal bullet and saves his life. But I was wrong, because in Rotterdam, just a few days ago, a 49 year-old contractor had his life saved by an iPhone 4.
The man had his iPhone in the pocket when he was attacked by gunmen who opened fire on the vehicle he was driving. A total of five bullets hit the vehicle and the first one headed straight for the man’s heart. The bullet was first slowed down by the car’s window and then went through the iPhone and into his chest, but not reaching the heart. The other bullets missed the man.
“I had not one, but six angels on my shoulder” stated the victim, as translated through Google, ”The bullet went straight through my phone back and then only lightly in my chest.”
I’m guessing this is the first time Siri gets killed by bullet!

An Illustrated History of Computers  from
                             ABACUS
The first computers were people! That is, electronic computers (and the earlier mechanical computers) were given this name because they performed the work that had previously been assigned to people. "Computer" was originally a job title: it was used to describe those human beings (predominantly women) whose job it was to perform the repetitive calculations required to compute such things as navigational tables, tide charts, and planetary positions for astronomical almanacs. Imagine you had a job where hour after hour, day after day, you were to do nothing but compute multiplications. Boredom would quickly set in, leading to carelessness, leading to mistakes. And even on your best days you wouldn't be producing answers very fast. Therefore, inventors have been searching for hundreds of years for a way to mechanize (that is, find a mechanism that can perform) this task. The abacus was an early aid for mathematical computations. Its only value is that it aids the memory of the human performing the calculation. A skilled abacus operator can work on addition and subtraction problems at the speed of a person equipped with a hand calculator (multiplication and division are slower). The abacus is often wrongly attributed to China. In fact, the oldest surviving abacus was used in 300 B.C. by the Babylonians. The abacus is still in use today, principally in the far east. A modern abacus consists of rings that slide over rods, but the older one pictured below dates from the time when pebbles were used for counting (the word "calculus" comes from the Latin word for pebble).
In 1617 an eccentric (some say mad) Scotsman named John Napier invented logarithms, which are a technology that allows multiplication to be performed via addition. The magic ingredient is the logarithm of each operand, which was originally obtained from a printed table. But Napier also invented an alternative to tables, where the logarithm values were carved on ivory sticks which are now called Napier's Bones.

                                       MAJOR DISADVANTAGES OF COMPUTERS
Disadvantages:
The teenagers of today's society have changed dramatically due to the
Computer. Nowadays, the majority of teenagers have
a PC and it has played a key role in their lives. Teenagers need to
be equipped with knowledge of computer technology,
as most things in life require the use of computers. One disadvantage
of owning a computer is the information that students
can access from the Internet. The Internet has also made the youth of
today quite lazy, especially in terms of their
education. If a student needs to research information for school, they
merely access a relevant site and download the
information, rarely paying attention to what is written. Purchasing
the network cabling and file servers can be expensive.
If the file server breaks down the files on the file server become
inaccessible. Viruses can spread to other computers
throughout a computer network. There is a danger of hacking,
particularly with wide area networks.

Computers are very engaging on children as well as adults. Kids
with access to software that is not age appropriate may
be exposed to such negative influences as violence, strong language,
and over-stimulation from fast-action graphics.

     - Computers replace people in employment
     - Computers hold personal information which may be misused.
     - Problems arise when computers cannot be used (i.e system breakdown)

                                                            ADVANTAGES
Advantage-
1.Able to give the suggestion on given input.
2.Help to understand software with the help of user interface.
3.Store data is not effected by outer circumstances .
4. Reduce the cost of manufacturing of product.
Disadvantage-
1. Reduce the analytical ability of human being.
2. Make human being more dependent on internet.
3.Reduce the power of decision making.
  • 4. Create unemployment.
